When meeting with Australians, you can bring them some wine or flowers, which will not upset the host and can also express the guest's good intentions.

Working in Australia, wages are generally paid weekly (fortnightly for civil servants or large organisations) and payday is usually every Thursday or Friday. Therefore, Friday and Saturday of the week are particularly good days for business in Australian restaurants, bars and department stores. In recent years, some major department stores and shopping malls have extended their opening hours on Thursday nights (Night Shopping) to cater for people who receive their paychecks on Thursdays.

Although the overall atmosphere of Australian society is very liberal and harmonious due to the influence of Western culture, they still have an incompatible custom - they must go to church on Sunday morning every week. This custom has been handed down from ancient times and has never been broken by generations of Australians. So if you want to meet up with your local friends for a party or something like that, make sure you avoid Sunday mornings as a special time.
