National Innovation Visa is a permanent visa for people who have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in an eligible area. The Global Talent Visa is closed to new applications as of 6 December 2024. The National Innovation visa has replaced the Global Talent visa.

The core objective of the NIV visa is to attract the world's top innovative talent and emerging leaders with high-calibre talent and skills who can make significant contributions to drive productivity growth in key sectors of the Australian economy and will benefit Australia’s future prosperity.

National Innovation Visa, 既NIV签证，也称国家创新签证，是一项面向重点领域做出重大贡献的全球杰出人才提供的永久居留签证。2024年12月6日起，Global Talent Visa (GTI, 全球人才签证)不再接受新申请。国家创新签证取代了全球人才签证。

NIV签证的核心目标是吸引世界顶尖的创新人才和具有高水平才能和技能的新兴领导者，推动澳大利亚经济关键部门的生产率增长，并将有利于澳大利亚未来的繁荣。

·       Global researchers

全球研究人员：在其领域内享有全球声誉的学者或研究人员。比如申请人有大量出版物或论文的引用记录，（既较高的H指数），以及近几年在相关领域的顶级期刊上发表过学术文章。

·       Entrepreneurs

企业家：具有成熟或新兴创业成就的企业家，特别是那些与州/领地的初创企业孵化器有联系的企业家。

·       Innovative investors

创新投资者：既高净值投资者，支持在医疗、科技等领域进行高额投资的申请人。

·       Athletes and creatives

运动员和创意人才：适用于在国际体育或艺术领域取得显著成就的顶尖人才。

l         You can be any age to apply for this visa. If you are under 18 years old, or are 55 years or older when you apply, you must be of exceptional benefit to the Australian community.

年龄:无年龄限制。但18岁以下以及55岁以上申请人需要证明能为澳洲社会做出额外的杰出贡献。

l      Outstanding achievements requirements：Candidates must have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in the following areas include: a profession, a sport, the arts, and academia and research. Candidates need to be still prominent which is continue to be active in your area by having recent exceptional achievements.

杰出成就要求：在以下领域之一具有国际公认的杰出成就并在该领域持续活跃，包括职业领域，体育领域，艺术领域，学术与研究领域。

l       Nomination requirement: Candidates’ internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement must be attested by a nominator who has a national reputation in the same area as you, and is one of the following:

Ø                      an Australian citizen

Ø                      an Australian permanent resident

Ø                      an eligible New Zealand citizen

Ø                      an Australian organisation

Candidates must provide a completed Form 1000 signed by nominator at time of application.

提名要求：您的国际性的杰出成就，必须由与您在同一领域具有全国声誉的提名人证明。提名人可以为：澳洲公民，澳洲永久居民（PR），符合条件的新西兰公民，或者享有国家声誉的澳大利亚组织机构。申请人需要提交由提名人签字的完整FORM 1000表格。

l        Applicants aged 18 years and older at the time of application, must provide evidence of having at least functional English. Candidates must pay a second instalment of the visa application charge, if you do not have at least functional English.

语言要求：18岁以上申请人，需满足“功能英语”（Functional English）水平，即雅思平均4.5分或等同的语言水平，或缴纳语言费用。

The Department will consider candidates’ EOI based on the indicators of exceptional and outstanding achievements claimed and the NIV program priorities. DHA will extend invitations in the following priority order, with priority one being the highest:
